COMMUNITY CENTER
for WOMEN & CHILDREN ONLY

Hours: Accessible 24/7, 365 Days

Expectation:  Women will be expected to participate in the Employability Workshops, Financial Literacy Workshops, Counseling Sessions, and either attend an Institution of Higher Education (IHE) AND/OR work between the hours of 8am to 5pm.

Children:  Infants through Pre-K will be transported to/from partner Daycare Centers.   

Children: Kindergarten through age 17 will be transported to Public Schools.  

Location:  For the safety of the Women, Children and our Staff, the physical location of the Community Center will not be disclosed to the General Public.  

HOUSING

We serve as a temporary solution for Women and Children who are Homeless.  Through our resource partners, we provide access to temporary housing and affordable housing. 

EMPLOYABILITY WORKSHOPS

We provide computer literacy, resume writing, interviewing skills and job-placement assistance for those who are seeking to work in warehousing, distribution or restaurants.   

FINANCIAL LITERACY/BUDGETING

Establishing good habits and financial understanding is critical.  When it comes to finance and budgeting it is important to create a basic level of understanding, in order for individuals to create a firm financial footing so they can qualify for temporary housing, affordable housing and purchasing reliable transportation. We offer workshops on the topics of establishing a bank account, credit repair and financial budgeting.
